Description

A Trio of S: A Celebration of Saint-Saëns, Schumann, and Spohr

Delight in the sounds of three beloved composers in three Wednesday concerts. Camille Saint-Saëns, Robert Schumann, and Ludwig Spohr are featured on October 15, 2008, March 18, 2009, and April 29, 2009 respectively. The diverse cast of performers include members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Bienen School of Music faculty, and the Lincoln String Quartet.

Bienen School of Music faculty members Alan Chow and J. Lawrie Bloom join Bloom's Chicago Symphony Orchestra colleague Jennifer Gunn in the first concert of this special miniseries.

Camille Saint-Saëns, Allegro appassionato in B Minor, Sonata in E-flat Major, Sonata in G Major, Romance in F Major, and Tarantelle in A Minor

Tickets are $9 for the general public, $7 for Northwestern faculty and staff, and $5 for students.
